The Perfect Location Ingestre Hall is Sandwells Residential Arts Centre. This former home of the Earl of Shrewsbury is a Rose Brick Jacobean mansion set in 27 acres of Staffordshire countryside.

This magnificent setting is the ideal location for that special occasion including civil marriage ceremonies, receptions, concerts and evening dinners.

Upon entering you are immediately in the Great Hall, with its oak floor and panelled walls, with the Minstrels Gallery on the right.

The Perfect Location cont. Through the panelled wall you enter the Yellow Drawing Room, which is a perfect example of Victorian decoration including a magnificent fireplace. A large bay window provides a view of the front of the hall.

To the north of the Great Hall is the Red Room, with its views into the parkland and Capability Brown landscape which surrounds the hall. Both rooms are ideal venues for a champagne reception.

Civil Wedding Ceremonies The Hall is available by arrangement on Saturday’s, please note that we will take bookings for a civil ceremony only, a maximum of six months in advance. During school holidays the hall is available from Monday to Friday, from 11.00am to 3.30pm. Hire is for a maximum of two and a half hours and all ceremonies take place in the Yellow Drawing Room. A duty manager is on site throughout the duration of your civil wedding ceremony.

The maximum number of guests is 50 seated in the Yellow Drawing Room and no food or drink is allowed in the room where the ceremony is to take place.

Wedding Receptions Ingestre Hall is also available for hire as a venue for your wedding reception. The maximum number of guests in the Great Hall is 100 for a traditional wedding breakfast reception. The Hall is available on Saturdays throughout the year subject to availability and also during holiday periods for a mid week reception. The venue is open from 12 noon to midnight on the day of your function.

Please contact us for details of the charges, which include the use of the Great Hall, Yellow Drawing Room, Red Room and the beautiful Grounds for the duration of your function. Your caterers will have access to our kitchen, dining room and coffee bar area from 12 noon on the day of your function and access on the day before, from 12 noon to 4pm to facilitate preparations for your special day.

You will also have the provision of car parking, cloakroom facilities and a duty manager on site throughout the entire duration of your function, included in the charge.

Wedding Receptions cont. We supply furniture for 100 guests free of charge, to include the top table with red upholstered chairs (usually to seat 12), 11 round tables seating 8 guests with wooden chairs, a cake table and an easel to display your table plan.

The Steinway Grand Piano is available and all we require is the cost of the tuning of the piano, price available upon request.

Ingestre Hall holds a public entertainment licence and a licence to sell or supply alcohol on the premises. Please note that any bar must be supervised by a Personal Licence Holder whilst alcoholic drinks are being served whether sold or supplied on a complimentary basis.

Combined ceremonies and receptions It is also possible for you to combine your Civil Wedding Ceremony with a Wedding Reception. Please note that the maximum number of guests for the ceremony is 50 seated and the maximum for a wedding breakfast in the Great Hall is 100. The cost covers a period of hire from 10.30am to midnight.
